Sorcerer Lodge is located in the heart of true wilderness, near the northern boundary of Glacier National Park, Canada (70 km NW of Golden, BC, 25 km N of Rogers Pass - Map reference 82N5, UTM Grid reference 513997). Elevation is 2050 meters (6700 feet), just below tree-line, and near Mt. Iconoclast at the headwaters of Ventego Creek.

In the Selkirk Mountain range, we have a consistent, deep snowpack, averaging 3 to 4 meters (that's a healthy 12 feet . ..for you non-metric folks!). It is also a reletively stable snowpack, compared to the Rockies. In order to get this 3 or 4 meters of snow lying on the ground, it needs to snow.....often. This means POWDER!!! That's what Selkirk skiing is all about.

Access to the lodge is by helicopter only. We stage from Heather Mountain Lodge, which is on the Trans Canada Highway, 55 km west of Golden, BC. Allow about 45 minutes drive from Golden. Calgary International is the closest airport, about a 3 hour drive from Golden. The Greyhound bus leaves Golden and Calgary approx. 5 times daily. Do not book airline flights for the day you fly out of the lodge. It can be risky as weather and helicopters tend to make things unpredictable.
