Sorcerer Lodge sits high on a rocky perch, at 6700 feet, between two heavily glaciated valleys. It is magical, rugged mountainous terrain that will take your breath away.

In winter, one can find tree skiing or open glacier skiing, lots of 25 to 40 degree slopes, and a few 9000 to nearly 11,000 foot high peaks to ascend. The home run at the end of the day can be a long one... This is big mountaineering country so it’s important to come equipped, and be ready to tackle some challenging terrain. There is enough tree skiing to keep you busy and having fun on bad weather days.

Sorcerer Lodge and Great Canadian Heliskiing operate under a joint use agreement giving each company exclusive rights to specific ski runs. The self guided groups will be notified of the location of the licensed heliski runs in the area. We communicate our daily plans each morning to ensure that both companies are aware of destinations so we get the best skiing with as little interference as possible. Please call to discuss this if you have any concerns .

In summer, Sorcerer is stunning. There is really not much flat walking and few trails. The hiking is challenging. It is best if people expect to do some scrambling and really, this is no place for vertigo. Although not for beginners, this is a perfect place for a challenging backcountry escape or adventure! We also offer mountaineering trips and courses with highly qualified guides and instructors.
